Jacobs mentorship program provided me with the structure and confidence to operate as a single person handling many important parts of starting my aerial videography business. This program was the white glove treatment, full wrap around training that covers from your actual drone piloting skills to managing your sales, handling flight restrictions, clients expectations and more. I initially wasn't sure if joining a coaching group was for me. I am stubborn and independent. Turns out, it was more than just a basic coaching course. Jacob has a lot of knowledge with both drone ops as well as with business and marketing. I found a lot of value in having someone to review and critique my work and give feedback from a professional standpoint and not just friends and family who are obliged to give positive feedback. I joined Jacob’s drone coaching program when I was just getting started with my drone business—only about a month or two into flying a drone for the first time. The coaching modules, group calls twice a week, and the community of people with similar goals were super helpful and kept me motivated. There’s honestly so much that goes into starting a drone business (a lot I didn’t even realize at first), and this program made learning everything way easier and more straightforward. Right now, I’m still working a full-time job, but my goal is to eventually go full-time with my business. It’s a long road, but I feel way more confident now and actually believe I can make it happen—something I didn’t feel when I first started. My favorite part of the program has to be the community. Everyone is incredibly supportive and kind. Starting a business can be isolating, but being part of a group where you can share wins, ask questions, and get real advice from people who get it was huge for me. There are people in the group who are further along that you can learn from, and others who are just getting started that you can help out. I honestly don’t know if I would’ve stuck with my dream of building a drone business without Jacob and the support from the group.
